on the day that you were born.
on the day the you were born i paced the empty halls, and tired to keep the dark away. it had rained for weeks, with no sunshine in between, and unquiet dispare had nested in my heart. on the day that you were born, no comfort did i desire, but to hear your mothers' voice and ensnared with silence, i let the darkness in. but then, then, the world shifted. as you cried your first the light returned and everything was altered. on the day you were born, my greatest fears, my greatest joys collided.
